Ordered 1 box of each - Tastykake Kandy Kakes and Tastyklairs that this Philly guy was missing from a distance. When ordered using standard shippin was 5-7 days. Got the order in 3 business days. I was disappointed in the Tasty Cakes. It was an order for a Christmas present yet the box stamp had an expiration date of 12/22.
Owner Response: I see you ordered them to ship on 12/8. Tastykake Baking Company has a wide variety of cakes and they do have a different shelf life but generally speaking they have about a two week shelf life. If you are ordering for Christmas next time order closer to the date you'd like them. Also being in California you may want to ship them air service because the transit time across the country is roughly 5 business days.

While visiting family in New Mexico I was craving kandy kakes a "cake cookie with peanut butter topping and chocolate coating". yum. i cant find them out west so i found the Pa General store and ordered 3 boxes with a two day shipping. they arrived in two days on time. my cravings were finally taken care of. i use the Pa General Store whenever i'm out visiting family. i use to live in PA and ate these all the time....when i go back home i get LOADS OF BOXES of them...haven't been back home lately and thought i would check online to find them. i found them with this company and the shipping is $10.99 PER ORDER....NOT per box as all the other places are quoting me. so glad i found this company, now i feel like i am right at home and can order any time. Only problem or issue i have is i got them quickly like in 3 days (got in may) but ALL 6 boxes were dated JUNE already. not a big deal really because i freeze them and eat them out of freezer. they must have a huge surplus of them. some were plainly wrapped also and others had the tastycake picture and writing on...thought that was weird......but they all tasted wonderful. will DEFINITELY order again but hopefully they will have a FRESHER DATE on them.

But, it was good to hear you were able to freeze them. The son of one of our employees who lives in California freezes them too.

Having been born and raised in south Jersey, even I would quickly miss the availability of Tastykake peanut butter Tandy Takes. 15 years ago when my daughter and her family lived in Texas my luggage was filled with them every visit. Now my grandson who is further south in Texas still feels the burning desire for a favored treat in our part of the world. They arrived quickly and well shipped and will definitely store in the freezer. He was delighted.

I've had these since I was old enough to eat. I'm 47 now and still love them. Sadly, I live in Washington now and have no store to get them at. I found out that I could order them online now and was very happy. I ordered two boxes. They still taste pretty much the same even though I can taste a slight difference. The only thing, is even though the boxes had an enjoy by date of June 3rd, the cake was already a little dry and rough. They should be moist and spongy. But overall, I'm just happy I can get them again.
